Warden Message: Fighting in Sanaa Has Ceased, but Embassy Calls for Continued Caution

The fighting reported by the U.S. Embassy near the Shahran Hotel in southern Sanaa ceased late on March 1. While U.S. Embassy personnel are no longer restricted to their residences, the Embassy has instructed personnel to remain vigilant and cautious in their movements. Individuals may report suspicious or threatening activity to the Embassy at any time via the telephone numbers listed below.

The U.S. Embassy is located at Dhahr Himyar Zone, Sheraton Hotel District, P.O. Box 22347. The telephone number of the Consular Section is (967)(1) 755-2000, extension 2153 or 2266. The fax number is
(967)(1) 303-175. The after hours emergency number is (967)(1) 755-2000 (press zero for extension). In case of an emergency, if these regular numbers do not work, please call 967-733213509.
