A volcanic eruption occurred September 30, 2007 on the island of Jazirt Mount Al-Tair located off of Yemen’s Red Sea coast. We have not received any information that any American citizens were involved. If you have any information regarding American citizens who may have been in the area of the eruption and require assistance, please contact the Consular Section of the U.S. Embassy in Sanaa immediately.
