United States-Yemen National Control List Workshop

The U.S. Department of State conducts a five-day joint workshop for Yemen export control officials and officials of interested agencies. At the workshop, U.S. and European Union member experts will deliver presentations to address the issues related to the use of both European Union Unified Dual Use List and the International Munitions List (IML).

The workshop is intended to transfer knowledge, skills and abilities to Yemen export licensing officials who are responsible on a day to day basis for license processing, participants in the program will obtain a working knowledge of how the EU model control list and IML are structured and how experts navigate the list to make proper commodity classification decisions including the ability to recognize the difference between munitions and dual-use items (commodity jurisdiction).
