The Near East-South Asia Center Seminar Opened Today in Sana’a

The Near East-South Asia Center seminar (Check here for the press release) opened today in Sana’a. Foreign Minister Dr. Abu Bakr Al Qirbi addressed the gathering of diplomats and military leaders and highlighted that the “international and regional situation urges us to enhance our strategic cooperation towards achieving the stability, development and peace in the world and strengthening both bilateral and multilateral efforts in the international alliance to combat terrorism.” Deputy Chief of Mission Nabeel Khoury invited the gathered participants to conduct a frank and open discussion and to think creatively about our mutual problems in order to scope out possible solutions. NESA Center director LT GEN (rt.) David Barno then welcomed all and outlined the role of the Center in collecting uncensored and anonymous feedback for decision-makers in the United States and in spreading the message of understanding and respect for the culture and people of the region.
