Yemeni Officials Trained in Detection of Fraudulent Travel Document by Embassy’s Regional Security Office

Over a score of Yemeni officials representing a variety of Ministry of Interior law enforcement and security agencies participated in a recent training on fraudulent travel documents. The course, sponsored by the Regional Security Office of the Embassy, was presented by the Department of State’s Office of Anti-Terrorism Assistance (ATA).
Ambassador Thomas Krajeski, who presented graduation certificates to participants, noted that the ability to recognize and investigate fraudulent travel documents is essential to stopping criminals and terrorists all over the world and added that he looks forward to future cooperation with the Ministry of Interior and additional opportunities to host similar training courses in Yemen.
Coursework involved the proper examination of documents, the detection of fraudulent international documents, and taught participants how to establish a chain of custody to properly protect and secure evidence for criminal prosecution and how to facilitate law enforcement information exchanges.

مكتب الأمن الأقليمي في سفارة الولايات المتحدة يدرب موظفين يمنين على إكتشاف التزوير في وثائق السفر
شارك مؤخراً مايزيد على عشرين موظف يمني يمثلون وزارة الداخلية والأجهزة الأمنية في دورة تدريبية حول إكتشاف التزوير في وثائق السفر.
قام بتنفيذ الدورة التدريبية والتي رعاها مكتب الأمن الأقليمي في سفارة الولايات المتحدة الأمريكية بصنعاء مكتب المساعدة لمكافحة الإرهاب التابع لوزارة الخارجية الأمريكية.
أشار سعادة توماس كراجسكي، سفير الولايات المتحدة بصنعاء والذي قام بتسليم الشهادات للمشاركين، أن القدرة على إكتشاف والتحقيق في تزوير وثائق السفر هو شيء جوهري لوقف المجرمين والإرهابيين في كافة أنحاء العالم مضيفاً أنه يتطلع لمزيد من التعاون مع وزارة الداخلية والمزيد من الفرص لعقد دورات تدريبية مماثلة في اليمن.
إشتملت الدورة التدريبية على طرق وأساليب الفحص السليم للوثائق وإكتشاف التزوير في الوثائق الدولية وكذا تدريب المشاركين حول الطرق السليمة في كيفية تأمين الأدلة حول المحاكمات الجنائية وكذا تسهيل تبادل المعلومات الخاصة بتفعيل دور القانون.
