Yemeni Projects to Combat Worst Forms of Child Labor Reviewed by Visiting U.S. Department of Labor Team

Recently, a team from the United States Department of Labor visited Yemen to monitor two programs targeting the worst forms of child labor. The team visited Sana’a, Seiyun, Ibb, and Aden ahead of an upcoming program evaluation designed to gauge the success the programs to date.
These programs are designed to target children working in agriculture and fishing, street children, and children vulnerable to trafficking. The Department of Labor is working to end the worst forms of child labor in Yemen in partnership with the International Program on the Elimination of Child Labor (IPEC) and CHF International.

فريق تابع لوزارة العمل الأمريكية يراجع مشاريع يمنية لمحاربة أسوء أشكال عمالة الأطفال
زار مؤخراً فريق تابع لوزارة العمل الأمريكية اليمن وذلك لمراقبة برنامجين حول أسوء أشكال عمالة الأطفال في اليمن.
وقام الفريق بزيارة صنعاء وسيؤن وإب وعدن وذلك قبل برنامج التقييم الذي يهدف إلى تقييم نجاح البرنامج حتى الآن.
أعدت هذه البرامج لتستهدف الأطفال العاملين في قطاعي الزراعة والأسماك وأطفال الشوارع واولئك الأطفال المعرضين للتهريب.
تعمل وزارة العمل الأمريكية وبالتعاون مع البرنامج الدولي للقضاء على عمالة الأطفال على إنهاء أسوء أشكال عمالة الأطفال في اليمن.
