Question: Is the U.S. Embassy is Sana’a open?
Answer: The U.S. Embassy in Sanaa is currently closed for routine consular services.
Question: I had an appointment for a visa interview and it was cancelled. When will I be able to have my appointment?
Answer: Due to limited staffing, the Embassy is currently providing limited consular services. If the Embassy notified you that your appointment was cancelled, the Embassy will contact you when routine visa services resume.
Question: I need to renew my US passport. When can I do that?
Answer: Please contact us through email at: SanaaACS@state.gov for all issues involving American Citizens.
Question: I need to notarize a document, when will I be able to do that?
Answer: The Embassy will announce on its website when normal services resume and appointments for routine services can be scheduled.
Question: I am applying for a student visa and my classes start soon, what should I do?
