U.S. Senators meet President Saleh

A bipartisan delegation from the United States Senate – John McCain, Joseph Lieberman, Susan Collins and Lindsey Graham – met today with President Saleh.
They discussed the challenges that confront Yemen, and means of improving the diplomatic relations between the United States and Yemen.
The meeting also focused on the economic and political reform process to which President Saleh has committed, counterterrorism cooperation, and other issues of mutual interest.
وفد من مجلس الشيوخ الأمريكي يلتقي الرئيس صالح
إلتقى وفد من مجلس الشيوخ الأمريكي اليوم الإثنين الموافق 17 أغسطس 2009 بالرئيس علي عبد الله صالح, حيث ناقش الوفد مع الرئيس صالح التحديات التي تواجه اليمن وسُبل تعزيز العلاقات الدبلوماسية بين اليمن والولايات المتحدة الأمريكية.
كما ركز اللقاء على عملية الإصلاح السياسي والإقتصادي التي إلتزم بها الرئيس صالح وكذا التعاون في مجال مكافحة الإرهاب وغيرها من القضايا ذات الإهتمام المشترك. وظم وفد مجلس الشيوخ جون مكين وجوزيف ليبرمان و سوزان كولينز وليندسي جراهام.
