The U.S. Embassy in Yemen is pleased to announce the opening of the competition for the Middle East Partnership Initiative (MEPI) Legal and Business Fellowship Program (LBFP) for young Middle Eastern women for 2008. A program of the U.S. Department of State, MEPI LBFP is designed to provide talented young women, ages 22-32, with unique opportunities to learn management and legal skills while working in the dynamic and productive U.S. business and legal environment.
Competition for the program is merit-based, and selection will be made on the basis of the applicant's leadership potential, commitment to professional growth in the business sector of their local economies, and knowledge of English.
The six-month program will be conducted in the United States from March 30, 2008 to August 28, 2008.
